Open-Source Materials to Learn Turkish

This is an open-source website for video and audio materials for learning the Turkish language. It is divided into four major courses, Elementary I (101), Elementary II (102), Intermediate I (203), and Intermediate II (204).

They are designed in sequence following from lower to higher levels. The materials are organized in modules, including prepared grammar tutorials, authentic conversations, and Turkish songs.

Turkish is a Turkic language that originated in Central Asia. The modern standard Turkish is spoken in Türkiye and parts of Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

It has been written in Latin script since the language revolution of the Turkish Republic in 1928. Before then, it was called Ottoman Turkish, the official language of the Ottoman Empire, and was written in Arabic script.

The materials you will find on this website are all in modern standard Turkish spoken in Türkiye today.
